Anyone involved in regulated activity with children and vulnerable adults must have an Enhanced Disclosure beforehand.
Regulated activity is contact with a child/children/vulnerable adult that occurs frequently. This is defined as at least once a week, or more than 4 days in any 30 day period.

If you wish to apply for DBS checks as part of your recruitment process or ongoing Safeguarding Procedures you must be entitled to ask exempted questions under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 Exceptions Order 1975. (An exempted question is a valid request for a person to reveal their full criminal history (including spent convictions) and is made possible by virtue of the Exceptions Order to the ROA 1974).
Enhanced DBS Checks
Recommended for any role that involves work in regulated activity with children or specific roles with vulnerable adults
£67.00 with free registration and inclusive of any barred list checks that are applicable. (£49.50 DBS Fee & £11.90 admin fee plus a £5.60 portal fee)
Standard DBS Checks
Available to certain Employmen
Enhanced DBS Checks
Recommended for any role that involves work in regulated activity with children or specific roles with vulnerable adults

Volunteer Standard or Enhanced Checks
For individuals who do not receive any payment for the work they carry out
£15.00 with free registration for either Enhanced or Standard DBS Checks
(£9.40 admin fee plus a £5.60 portal fee)
There are no hidden costs and prices are fully inclusive.
Paper applications can be submitted for £61.50 for Enhanced and £33.50 Per Standard check.
